This (1) mandatory Trigger Effect activates & resolves on the field.
This effect activates in Substep 1 - Start of the Damage Step, before face-down monsters are flipped face-up. This effect will not activate when attacking a face-down monster.
This effect will activate when battling a Monster with multiple Attributes (ex: "Dark Simorgh" and "Light and Darkness Dragon").
If this face-down card is attacked by a non-DARK monster, this effect CANNOT activate.
