During a duel, several cards are involved, including Fish Depth Charge and Light End Dragon.
It has to both send to gy and lose 500 If you can't do either you do neither This means you resolve the interaction according to that ruling, and any dependent parts only apply if the required condition or activation is successfully met.
Do all non-Tuner monsters used to Synchro Summon Dark End Dragon or Light End Dragon need to be DARK/LIGHT?!
A player is Synchro Summoning Dark End Dragon or Light End Dragon.

VS. "Enemy Controller": if either effect of E-Con is chained to this effect, this card is no longer treated as 'battling'. Therefore, this card will lose 500 ATK and DEF, but the opponent's monster will not lose any.
