If Morphing Jar resolves and Night Assailant is discarded, does Assailant resolve before Jar goes to the Graveyard?!
Morphing Jar is destroyed by battle and its effect resolves.
Night Assailant triggers after it is discarded during Jar's resolution, before Jar is sent to the Graveyard.
If Night Assailant is discarded with no other Flip monsters in the GY, can it add itself back?!
Night Assailant is discarded.
No. It needs another Flip monster in the GY.

(2) When this card is sent directly from your hand to the Graveyard, return 1 Flip Effect Monster from your Graveyard to your hand. The (1) Flip Effect is mandatory.
