Thousand-Eyes Restrict

Edison Card Text
"Relinquished" + "Thousand-Eyes Idol" Other monsters cannot change their battle position or attack. Once per turn, you can equip 1 monster your opponent controls to this card ( max 1). This card's ATK and DEF become the same as the equipped monster's. If this card would be destroyed by battle, the equipped monster is destroyed instead.

If Relinquished/Thousand-Eyes Restrict is removed or flipped face-down after targeting a monster to equip, what happens, and can you change battle position of a monster your opponent summoned this turn after taking control of it?!
Relinquished or Thousand-Eyes Restrict attempts to equip an opponent's monster but is removed by a chained effect; separately, you take control of a monster that was Summoned this turn and consider changing its position.
If Relinquished/Thousand-Eyes Restrict is removed or flipped face-down before the equip resolves, the targeted monster is sent to the Graveyard; the same ruling applies to Destiny HERO – Plasma. For battle position changes, the rulebook states you cannot change the position of a monster that was Summoned that turn, even if control changed. Some older UDE addenda conflicted, so this should be treated cautiously, but the safer Edison ruling is no position change on that turn.
If Relinquished/TER is removed or flipped face-down after targeting a monster to equip, what happens?!
Relinquished or TER targets an opponent's monster but is removed by a chained effect.
The targeted monster is sent to the GY. The same ruling applies to Destiny HERO – Plasma.
